How can OT help my family?
-Dr Ross Greene
“Kids do well when they can”.
As pediatric occupational therapists, we are dedicated healthcare professionals with extensive training focused on utilizing our expertise to support children facing challenges in various aspects of daily life. The key areas of a child's daily activities include play, academic learning, eating, socializing, sleep, and fulfilling roles within the home. When a child encounters difficulties in any of these areas, we employ client-centered therapeutic approaches, often by incorporating creative play and empowerment through meaningful therapeutic relationships to facilitate new learning.
I believe strongly in parental and family involvement and am committed to helping your child and family thrive, in your child’s natural environment (where life happens!)
As occupational therapists, we understand the fundamental role of family engagement in a child's life. The relationships a child has with their family and supporting how these relationships can be strengthened, significantly impact their success. Occupational therapy emphasizes the power of collaboration with caregivers. The goal is to provide both the child and caregivers with tools to navigate their world.
Recognizing that each family has unique needs, occupational therapists are expert problem solvers guiding your family to greater functioning with individualized resources, tools, and strategies. As pediatric occupational therapists, we firmly believe that every child possesses great potential, and we wholeheartedly dedicate ourselves to fostering this potential through our work together.
